What Makes This Marine Display Suitable for Harsh Sea Conditions?
Can it withstand rain and waves? Yes. Full IP67 certification protects against dust and water immersion. The EETI waterproof touch controller includes a dedicated On/Off switch to prevent accidental inputs from wave splash or heavy rain.
Is it readable in direct sunlight? The 1500-nit industrial LCD with full viewing angle and automatic light sensing ensures clear visibility even in bright sunlight. Anti-glare coating and optical bonding further reduce glare and prevent internal fogging.
How durable is the touchscreen? The 10-point PCAP touch panel is covered with 2mm chemically strengthened glass at 7H surface hardness - the same hardness standard used in premium mobile devices.
Does it work with Garmin MFD systems? Yes. It features a dedicated waterproof interface compatible with Garmin GPSMAP 8412/8612/8416/8616, 1623/1643, 9000/9200 Series, and 8700/9500 Black Box.
Additional safety features include auto-locking OSD buttons after 1 minute of inactivity and an included screen protector with stand.
